With the adoption of the
Canadian Green Building Council LEED standard for public
procurement in many municipalities across Canada, green
roofs promise to play a key role in attaining many LEED
credits. The City of Waterloo recently finished an award
winning Green Roof Feasibility Study and has installed an
1600m2 extensive green roof system on the City
Centre. The City is currently developing green roof
incentives. Come learn about this rapidly growing new
technology.
